My Family Adventures - August

Observant readers may have noticed it's been a bit quiet around my blog lately. That's because we spent the end of August and the beginning of September in Normandy, France. We've certainly experienced a mixed bag of weather in August and our holiday was much the same. Given the proximity of the north of France to England that's not surprising right. Next time we'll have to head to the South hey.

My Family Adventures - August

Completing the Banbury Circular

My Family Adventures - August

We began August by completing the Banbury circular and discovered to our delight this structure. We also felt the presence of Autumn was popping up all around us as we spotted a number of mushroom around.

Seasonal Fruits

We've also been delighting in many of the fruits that the season has to offer by picking plums, apples and eating handmade blackberry muffins which are apparently on trend in France at the moment.

The Park

Then there's the park which we've thoroughly enjoyed exploring in town as well as in our home village. We didn't quite brave the water sprinklers this time but there's always next year.

France

My Family Adventures - August

Finally, we made our annual trip to France to see our family. We've been exploring the history of the area, getting up close to animals both exotic and not and of course done a fair bit of walking.

So that's our August in a nutshell. What did you get up to?

  17. I love Normandy, especially Honfleurs and Etretat - longing to go back with the kids. Great to hear about mushrooms and fruit, loving to pick as well from wild for a little feast 😉 we were in Menorca for a long week-end, office for 2 weeks and then we squeezed in 10 days of travelling around Romanian Carpatian mountains. This summer has gone too fast! #countrykids
