Valentines Day Crafts

Whether you celebrate Valentines Day or not. There's no denying that love is everywhere from loving family, friends, lovers and ourselves. Love keeps the world ticking. We thought we'd have fun here by creating some handmade crafts and eldest certainly loves any opportunity to break out the paints so it wasn't hard to get her on board helping me with these.

Valentines Day Crafts

Now I'm well aware that time is ticking and oh my goodness Valentines and Easter have been in the store since the Christmas sales! But I'm keeping it real time here readers and doing my activities with my girls closer to the time. So here are a few quick activities that anyone can do and have fun along the way.

Heart Shape Decor

Valentines Day Crafts

First in line I have this wooden heart. I have been considering how I would like my eldest daughter's bedroom to look like and realised I have been leaning towards oriental decor with a photo frame I picked up ages ago, a canvas featuring blossom and momiji dolls. So I thought this would go really well in her bedroom. A quick paint in pink (Make sure you have the right paint for the right surface.) and a sharpie for the features brought this to life.

Play Dough

Another activity that my children love is play dough. You can either buy it or create your own. Here is a simple recipe for creating your own.

Valentine Wrapping Paper

Valentines Day Crafts

Once you've chosen your Valentine present you may like to wrap it up. We took one kitchen paper roll insert and folded it to form the shape of a heart. We then dipped it into paint and applied it to some tissue paper we had to hand. This is very simple yet effective and it didn't take long till the whole area was covered.

Love Bugs

For my final activity I would like to draw your attention to my Colourful Lady Bugs otherwise known as love bugs. You can find the post for creating these here.

Do let me know whether you try out some of these activities or indeed would love us to try out
others.
